SUPPLIES NEEDED
• Okra
• Paper or fabric
• Tempera or poster paint (for printing on paper)
• Acrylic paint or fabric paint (for printing on fabric)
• Palette or small plates
• Knife and chopping board
• Paint brush (optional)
STEPS
Prepare some okra.
Prepare a few pieces of okra. To avoid wasting food, you can use okra that is past its edible stage—overmature okra are too tough for anyone's liking.

Make your first okra stamp.
To create your first okra stamp, cut a 1-inch long piece from the top or crown of one okra. Check out the 5-petaled flower pattern on the cut side of your okra slice.

Create more stamps.
Create more stamps by cutting the rest of the okra into 1-inch long pieces.
Again, you can avoid wasting food by just using the top piece near the crown for stamping. Use the rest of the okra for dinner.

Prepare the paint.
Prepare various colors of tempera or poster paint on your palette. Add some water and mix well.
If you are working with fabric, use acrylic paint or fabric paint instead.

Dip a stamp on paint.
Dip an okra stamp in one color of paint.
