Black Thunder Theme Park is an expansive water park in Coimbatore that covers an area of 75 acres of land and has an array of water-themed rides. The park has rides to suit every age group and includes thrilling and relaxing experiences right from Dashing Boats, Volcano, Dragon Coaster, Kiddies pool, Wave pool to a Wild River Ride. Black Thunder is quite spoken about for its helpful and attentive staff and the facilities they provide. The park also has a food court inside the premise that serves delicious snacks and meals, a perfect place to grab a bite in between rides. Lockers are provided to all the guests to keep their valuables safe while they enjoy their rides and recreational activities. Also, showers and changing rooms are available in plenty for convenience. It is probably one of the few attractions that have a separate feeding room for mothers.

Dress Code
• Swimming costumes and swimwear is highly recommended while entering the water. It is advisable to avoid t-shirts, shorts, loose and see-through clothing. Entering the water in undergarments is strictly prohibited. The swimwear should not be revealing and should not have metal loops, rivets and buckles.
• Shoes are not allowed when stepping into the water.
• Avoid wearing precious jewellery as they could lose them.
• Avoid wearing chunky, large or dangling jewellery that could get caught on rides or could hurt people.
How To Reach Black Thunder
Black Thunder is located about 40 kilometres from Coimbatore at the foothills of Nilgiris on the Ooty Main road in Mettupalayam. The best way to reach the theme park is by taxis or private vehicles.
Buses frequently ply from Coimbatore New Bus Stand to Mettupalayam Bus Stand. From here, tourists can hire a taxi or take a mini bus ride to reach the theme park.
